Un Cho

With deep sorrow yet profound gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of Mrs. Un Cho, who went to be with her Lord on March 7, 2025, at 10:27 a.m. at Laurel Brook Rehabilitation Center in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. She was 84 years old. Mrs. Cho was born on January 14, 1941, in North Chunla Province, South Korea. A woman of great faith, perseverance, and love, she touched the lives of many through her kindness, strength, and unwavering dedication to her family and community. In 1963, she married her beloved husband, Oyong Cho, with whom she shared forty years of marriage until his passing in 2003. Together, they built a life centered on faith, hard work, and the joys of raising their family. She immigrated to the United States in 1976, seeking new opportunities for her children. With determination and resilience, she worked as a seamstress for ten years before realizing her dream of entrepreneurship by starting her own business in 1986. Beyond her work, Mrs. Cho was a pillar of her church community. She co-founded First Dover Korean Baptist Church in 1979, where she faithfully served as a Senior Deaconess, a leader of the women’s group, a devoted member of the church choir, and an active participant in both worship dance and traditional Korean dance teams. Her love for worship through movement was a testament to her joy in praising the Lord, a passion she carried throughout her life. Even after retiring from her business in 2002, and despite the loss of her husband in 2003, Mrs. Cho remained deeply involved in her church and community. She found renewed purpose in leading women’s prayer groups and performing worship dance in retirement homes and church services, continuing to uplift others with her grace and dedication. Though diagnosed with kidney failure in 2008, she never allowed her illness to diminish her spirit or her commitment to serving others. Mrs. Cho’s greatest joys were her faith, her family, her garden, and her love for worship dance, particularly the traditional Korean fan dance, which she performed with elegance and reverence. She was a source of inspiration to all who knew her, embodying the virtues of love, devotion, and selflessness. She leaves behind a legacy of faith and love, cherished by her three children—Daniel, David, and Linda—along with her eight beloved grandchildren, who will forever carry her memory in their hearts. All services will be held privately. Though our hearts grieve her passing, we find comfort in knowing that she is now in the presence of her Savior, dancing in worship before the Lord she so faithfully served. “Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Master.” – Matthew 25:23
