Donald Craig Brown

Donald Craig Brown, completed his earthly journey on Jan 25, 2020. He was at peace spending his final days with his loving family including his beloved wife of 51 years, Mary Ann Brown; his children on earth daughters, Marie O’Brien and Jennifer Brown-Montgomery; his son in heaven, Brian Brown; his sons in law, J. Carter O’Brien and Greg Montgomery; his sisters, Joan Brown and Beth Heinrich; his four grandchildren, Christimarie O’Brien, Timothy O’Brien, Cayle O’Brien and Cassidy O’Brien; and his great grandson, Ronan O’Brien. Donald Brown was born on Jan 21, 1941 in Newport, Rhode Island, to the late Archibald and Elizabeth Brown. His father was a gardner and the family lived on several estates including one of his favorites in Newport. Donald served in the United States Army and was proud of his service and station in Germany. He later attended college at New York Post and left college to work for over 40 years in sales and marketing. Donald loved learning and returned to school at the age of 74 and completed an associate’s degree in Entrepreneurship at 76. Donald was still pursuing education at the University of Delaware just a few months before his passing. In addition to learning, some of his favorite activities included writing and entrepreneurship. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandson. Donald also loved to travel and has visited almost every state in the United States. He had many talents that included cooking, singing, and especially making people laugh. He was exuberant and brought light, joy, and humor, to every situation and every place he went. Donald was known as the person who would be there for anyone who needed anything. ONE of his greatest desires was to leave great fortunes for his family and friends. Donald Brown lives within all who knew and loved him. His presence brings the greatest fortune that includes everlasting love, passion for life, and the belief that nothing is impossible.“The richest people in life are the ones with the happiest memories.” ? Matshona Dhliwayo A committal service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, in the chapel at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.
